I just bought my new 950 and discover that it has no switched outlet. I like to turn on my entire system with one button press on one remote. Some of my components do not have trigger inputs. In the past I have connected the switching cord (the cord that attaches to the surge suppressor besides the power cord and connects to a switched outlet to turn the surge supressor on and off) from my surge suppressor to the switched outlet on my old pre/pro and plugged the pre/pro into an always on outlet on the surge suppressor. That way everything came on when I pressed power on on the pre/pro remote.

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this with the 950?

The 950's trigger can be used to switch a power conditioner (see manufacturers like Panamax and Monster), which in turn switches a number of outlets.
