Does anyone know if any of the other (newer) Pioneer Universal Players sound better than the subject one? I realize this is a subjective question...but I read somewhere that my player compresses the signal or something...which might be why the high end is lost. We learned tonight it's not the speakers...that Denon can be ear-pearcing at high levels. The Pioneer is quite niec at VERY loud volumes.
