As they used to (maybe still do?) say in a certain major mid-west city: "Vote Early and Vote OFTEN!".
But whatever you do, vote OUTLAW!
Unfortunately, us doggies are not allowed inside the polling place.

Voted this morning, then came into work and argued with a co-worker who said that my vote didn't matter, he has never voted because he doesn't think it matters, anyway, ended up arguing for a half hour about how it does matter.at least I got him thinking.....

Well it looks like the incredible debt machine administration got 4 more years. We'll just have to suffer through it, and hope we still have a country to salvage when it ends!

Well it looks like the majority of the voting Americans prefer the incredible debt machine adminstration to an incredible tax and giveaway adminstration. Suffer if you wish, there will be a country and it will not need to be salvaged.

The last time I checked we were a message board who shared experiences ways to help each other with our audio equipment not a political sounding post, so let's keep it A/V. WHO DO YOU THINK HAS A BETTER HOME THEATRE "GW" OR KERRY. GW's home theatre would most likely be very Big Loud and Expensive with lots of Bells and Whistles for that "Shock and Awe" effect. He wouldn't care about how it sounds, or how much it costs the tax payers just as long as it lights up all purty and he can hears the jets fly overhead when they show how the war is going. Oh, he would love watching Bonanza on it, I mean the Ponderosa would take on a life of its own. Can't you just see him sittin' there pausin' the DVD player and saying, "Hey Dick, wouldn't an oil well have gone really nicely there?" He would then yell, "If I'd been Lorne Green, I'da drilled on that Son of a Bit@#!!!" Cheney of course would have to remind him that this is just a TV show, GW would try to argue, he's so darn cute when he tries to debate. :p Him and Laura can enjoy their grilled armadillo while watching a John Wayne marathons with classics like True Grit and of course McLintock for the Misses. His girls can brag about it to their friends at a frat party while being taught family values at 2 in the morning, by several fraternity brothers, but that's ok, their now 21 and they don't need to carry fake ID's anymore to get a beer and some attention. GW would then go to bed early, leaving his big loud purty system on not giving an armadillos a$$ how much power it sucks, because he's making money on the oil that is used to power it. Now that he has won the election it's time for another vacation and we wouldn't want anything like running the country to interfere with that, would we??? I don't know what kind of system Kerry would have had, NOBODY DOES because we never had a chance to know. I do know that GW's Home Theatre sounds like sh!t and costs way too much!!!

On the ride home he asked me if I noticed the looks on the faces of the losing team who shared that locker room. I was silent, and then he said, "there is only one thing worse than a bad loser; and that is a bad winner". He was right... and I had to play against a lot of those guys for years afterward (through High School). And then I learned how right he really was. Allan

I’ve always considered the individual over the party, even though when electing a president, you are also electing a team.
I imagine that most Democrats are shaking their head, or worse, today. In any case, I was thinking that there are two ways for the Republicans to go. The first, and not the best, is to be emboldened in just doing their own thing and ignoring others. My sister and I are on opposite sides of the conservative/liberal debate and I think that the taffy pull of ideas between us keeps me thinking. I appreciate having my ideas respectfully challenged, whether it is politics, audio, or whatever. The second, and better way, is to see what things in the Democratic campaign resonated well with many Americans, and to work to answer those issues and needs. With a majority of the House and Senate, no one can absolutely force the Republicans toward anything if they want to close ranks and stubbornly hold to some position, but I would hope for better. If people do not rise above certain things and draw upon what is best in humanity, such a hope is certainly subject to much disappointment. How a person behaves in the wake of either 'losing' or 'winning' speaks volumes about that person.
What will Republicans do over the next four years to address concerns raised by Democrats? Although there are many passionate people on the right and left, both the popular (51%/49%) and electoral voting (almost a tie without Ohio) showed no overwhelming American majority support for either the positions of the Dem's or the Rep's. So I think a list of those things that Americans wanted from both candidates is something to consider.

Thanks for the gentle reminder Scott.
The intent of my original post was not to start a political debate. Not that I have a problem with vigorous political debate anywhere, anytime...it's part of what makes this such a great country. My only intent was to remind people to participate in democracy by voting, nothing more.
