Peter and Mark are good friends. I suspect the reply might be "Welcome to the Club!". smile

AV123's been doing some pretty interesting stuff lately, no doubt about it. This "little" pair may be an interesting contrast to the 1070 - a little more money and a little more power in a separates package. I'll be curious to see pictures of the actual unit and a feature list, since it could be a really slick package.

The two companies do have friendly ties - I seem to recall Outlaw pointing Pat toward the Rocket 750's a while back when he was searching for a good set of stereo speakers.

A steel trap, I tell ya'. Rusty, perhaps, and with a few teeth broken off, but still... smile

Hmmmmm.....

That IS an interesting missile. It will be interesting to see the response from the Outlaws.

At least we get an idea of what to expect from the next 950. If history is correct, the Outlaws will not stand second to anyone in the value/performance category.

Great speakers, aren't they?

By the way...did you get the risers for your 750s? Highly needed, you know (see why in my "review" of the RS 750 Signature Edition in AV123 wink )...

I want to get the risers for my 950's, just to widen the base so my son doesn't tip them over...but my couch isn't that high off the ground. ok..I'm not that high off the ground after I sink into the couch. I think the tweeters, with the spikes under the speakers, are slightly higher than my ears, as is. I think that adding the risers right now might screw up the soundstage. However, my center channel is 6 feet in the air, and I'm trying to angle it to get it to hit the listening position...so not all of the tweeters are at the same level anyway...(my darn room...lol)

my Listening system

wink

unfortunately, after i ordered them, i had to send them back to be custom drilled ... my RS-750's are pre- (or at least *very* early ... s/n's 79 & 80) production units and the screw hole spacings were off by about an 1/16th of an inch. but they *did* fix them for me and i'm very happy with the end result.
