I am new at this stuff, but have finished our basment with one room dedicated as "home theater/music." I got a good deal on new B&W speakers and purchased 703's for fronts with the corresponding cc and surrounds. Here is my dilemma. The fronts handle up to 200w but the others handle only up to 125/150w. I really would like to use the outlaw amp products, as they come highly recommended, and had originally wanted to get the 7 channel 200w model. Will the cc/surrounds handle the power if the system is not pushed to the max, or are there other alternatives such as monoblocks for the fronts and mutichannel for the rest? Also, how do the 100w outlaws compare to the 200w outlaws, do they have similar quality components with just a power difference? Any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to get this system up and running.

Welcome to the forum, Lostinlalaland. The center and surrounds can be safely connected to the Model 770 or 755. In fact, the higher power output will help avoid potential speaker damage caused by the amp clipping (reaching it's maximum output level) - the most common cause of speaker damage. The Model 7100 (7x100W) is very closely related to the 770 and 755, albeit with a lower power output (and corresponding lower cost). They are all very good amps, and the 770 would serve you very well with the B&W speakers.

Gracias. What is the technical meaning/significance of the wattage range stated for a given speaker?
