I need to pick up a pair of speakers for music only and I am looking at two options:
Currently I am running Def Tech 2002TLs in my home theater and I enjoy them very much. I was considering moving the 2002s upstairs for the music and purchasing a set of Def Tech 7001SCs or 7002s to replace them. My theater speakers are run from my 950/7100 combo.
The other option is to leave the 2002s in my theater and pick up a pair of mint Paradigm Studio 100's (v3 I think) for $1000 from a friend. They are a couple years old, in perfect condition and still have some warranty left. They will be supplemented by a Velodyne sub. Unfortunately, I don't know too much about the Paradigms.
The room where the music will be located is large and fairly echo-y (is that even a word?), kind of a loft-style room with wood floors. The two-channel speakers will run off of a Denon receiver mated to a pair of Outlaw 200's. These speakers will be used primarily for parties and entertaining.
Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Brian
