So looking at all kinds of products, I think that I want to try the following combo:

A Tripp lite LC2400 line conditioner plugged into the wall, and then a tripp lite Isobar 6DBS plugged into one of the outlets of the LC2400.

My question is what would you plug the 755 into the LC2400 or the Isobar 6DBS ?

Soundhound I know that you have mentioned that you run a tripp lite, which one?

I would keep the power amp as close to the outlet as possible in the chain, to prevent the potential of something in the chain imposing a limit on the current available to it, so I guess I'd vote for putting the 755 on the LC2400.

Is the 6DBS included there in order to provide additional outlets, or are you looking for additional surge protection? If it's the former, you could probably get by with any old power strip. If it's the latter, I'll leave it to some of the more electrically knowledgeable to address the potential benefits (if any) to that arrangement).

the Isobar6DBS has coax protection, and it has a higher joule rating....

I have written Tripp Lite, and asked them a few questions...I will let everyone know what they have to say.

It would be best to put the higher Joule rated power bar first. If you have enough outlets and can get by with just one strip and are looking for surge protection redundency, then I would suggest whole house protection. You can pick up a surge protector that mounts to your electrical panel for about $45 at Home Depot or Lowes. They are made by Intermatic. http://www.intermatic.com/?action=subcat&sid=137

I use a variety of the TrippLite Isobars, depending on the number of outlets needed. I don't use them for anything other than AC power filtering.

What, if anything do you use for surge protection?

So, I talked with tripp lite today.....here is what they had to say, first off, They insisted that if you were to run the Isobar6DBS and LC2400 combo, that you plug the Isobar6DBS into the wall and not the LC2400. I asked why, and they said that if it were the other way around and the Isobar had a surge, and it was plugged into the LC2400, it would not be able to find a ground...and most likley trash the LC2400...so....If anybody wanted to know... thats what they say..

The Isobars have surge protection and filtering. Power line surges are not really a problem where I live anyway.
