I want to put new Outlaw and other equipment in a very nice oak, leaded glass door, entertainment center cabinet. When glass doors are shut there is little if any air circulation for cooling. I have read on other posts where some have temperature controlled cooling fans. Can anyone advise me on how to find a unit like this that I can mount on the back of the cabinet? Does any one sell a kit, or complete unit for this purpose? Can one be had that is fairly quiet? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer?

The Active Thermal link Lasher provides has some really interesting products. I wonder about cost. Middle Atlantic Products also makes fans for gear racks. In other threads, Gonk (I think) suggested a chimney-type cooling arrangement.

I have 5 3.25" fans from Parts Express that were less than $10 each. They are wired into a box with lighted rocker switches. Inside a cabinet open only to the front, a fan will drop the temp on top of an amp from over 100 degrees to 80 degrees within 30 seconds. When everything else is quiet, the fans can be heard, but I have never been bothered by the fans while listening to a movie or CD.

I used a simple clamp-on 2-speed fan and connected it to an extension cord with an on/off switch.
It blows across the amp and keeps it completely cool. You can't hear it at all during the movie. Total cost was less than 20 dollars.

I found several 120v case fans at radio shack - cheap but effective.

The RS fan looks identical to what I bought at Parts Express. RS = $19, PE = about $8. The RS fan may be quieter, but I couldn't find comparative specs.
