Welcome to the forum, euro95. I have used a 1050 in a similar size room to drive Paradigm Reference speakers very successfully. The setup is great for music, and there are a couple of DSP modes that can work pretty well with cable TV watching (and on digital channels you have the option of Dolby Digital decoding, of course). I can't speak specifically to driving the JBL's you use, but would not anticipate any problem.

euro95;

Given the sensitivity values that you've cited for your JBL's, you shouldn't have any trouble with the 1050. My 1050 sounds great with my speakers which have lower sensitivity values than yours. (89db for my primary speakers) Also my listening room is larger at 16'x16' with 9'ceilings.

I think that you would probably be quite satisfied.

Thank you gonk for such a warm welcome,I think I will try the 1050.They have a great return policy ,that I would be foolish not to find for my self, if the 1050 would work on my system.Also I would like to thank Hi4head for his comments,however you do not mention if you are using a Sub...Thanks once more.............euro95
