I was all set to purchase a Sony CDP-M333ES 400 disk CD player and I found out it's discontinued. It had the features I was looking for at the right price (~$350) and I've been happy with a similar 300 disk player that I've had for about 4 or 5 years. The CDP-M555ES is still available but I don't like the fact that I'll have to pay about $100 more for a remote with a small display to show CD titles that I'll probably never use because that's the difference between the 333 and 555.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions or experience with comparable equipment?

sony has a 400 disc dvd player that replaced that unit (i think) and it is around that same price. from talking to a sony rep he said that they arent going to make a mega cd changer when they can make a dvd changer that also plays cds...

I think cg is talking about the Sony CD/DVD/SACD mega-changer (The model number is the DVP-CX985V) that you can get for $400 from most retailers. Sounds like a good option to me.
