The 1050's have been holding their re-sale value pretty well lately. If that does happen, you could always grumble unkind words to the handful of people at some other forums who whined so much that Outlaw muffled their "upcoming product" news and re-sell it for much of what you paid for it. It's not really a great solution, but it's worth keeping in mind. For the record, I agree that the arrival of DPL2 and DTS-ES on a number of sub-$1000 receivers is causing the 1050 to show its age a bit, but I just get the impression it'll be 2003 or so before a replacement arrives -- and in the meanwhile, the 1050 will certainly remain a very solid performer.
