Rotel is a little out of my budget but nothing sounds as good w/o going up another $500-700. I am willing to get one used but I am more than curious about the 1050.If I am not satisfied w/ sound of arcam 100/200 would I be happy w/ the 1050?

PS. Will match w/ B&W 601 fronts, rest still to purchase.

Padg,

I can attest to the fact that the 1050 sounds great on the BW 601's. That is because they are my 2 fronts. You will not be disappointed at all with the sound of the 1050. The sound is simply bbbbeeeaaaauuuuutttttiiiifffffuuuullllll.

You've got 30 days to give them a try to. Which is nice.

I'm a big Rotel fan. You should try the 1050. I'm very happy!

I had a Rotel 65 watt amp with a NAD preamp prior to my last receiver, a Marantz SR-870. I truly missed that setup for music listening. I can honestly say the 1050 has brought the smile back to my face for music(AND MOVIES!). It is a VERY good piece. Go for it!

Thanks for your replies

PS. Curious about opinions as to what other receiver most closely matches stereo sound quality/characteristics of 1050? Is there any kind of consensus?
