Well you know the times are a'changin' when a big name in high end audio like Krell puts their stuff "on sale." I can't believe that they just shaved off $3000 off their top of the line prepro to bring it down to the still lofty sum of $5000. They are using some "trade-in" gimmick of all things. I noticed that Adcom is doing something similar. It's nice to see good healthy price competition in an area that has at times felt it was above that. You have to think that companies like Outlaw have factored into that downward pricing equation in no small way.

I am in no way implying that Outlaw should participate in such things. I think their pricing schedule is just fine the way it is. I just thought it would be interesting to point out a new and encouraging trend.

I wish Outlaw WOULD shave $3000 off of the price of the 950.

But beings it is not overpriced to begin with, I doubt that there is much "shaving room".

In regards to Krell, I would suggest that if they can afford to reduce the price by $3000 , then it was at least $3000 overpriced to begin with.

The economic times, they are a-changing!

Yep, I wouldn't think Krell is losing money even with the price reduction, so they must have had the MOTHER OF ALL MARKUPS before!!!! Something for 'yall to think about when considering "boutique" brands!!!!

Now if Lexicon starts rolling out the discounts them you know that something is really happening. We can always dream....
