Mine just started doing this too in October of 2003 after a few years of never doing it before.

In fact, I'm not sure what I should do about this. I need advice.

My 1050 has been in 5.1 direct mode for a month. The unit gets turned off and on once or twice each day but that's about it. Modes (DVD, FM, CD etc...) have not been touched in 30 days).

Anyhow, I'll listed to a cd via the 5.1, and everything will be fine. Then I'll listen to another CD and start hearing radio stations underneath the CD. It seems very random.

I'll try switching to another mode, turning the 1050 off and then back on, and then switching to 5.1 mode, and then see if that solves the problem.

Is there a backup battery inside the 1050 that remembers what mode the unit was in when it was turned off or something? Like the battery that remembers radio presets? Anyhow manybe my battery is dead and the unit keeps defaulting to FM mode?

I dunno just a guess. Anyone?

Thanks,
Loomis
