Anybody want to make this crystal clear for me? I have always had my DVD player set for Bitstream. I am not exactly sure how this works vs PCM. I know a little but don't want to confuse anyone else by typing the little bit up that I do know. How about some help?

Thanks.

Actually did a little bit of refreshing myself the other day in this thread on the subject of bitstream vs. PCM. PCM is used for CD playback, whereas bitstream passes the original digital data directly to the player's output. Your player must be set to bitstream to pass Dolby Digital and DTS signals to the receiver or pre/pro.
