I am looking to add an amplifier to my Pioneer 811.
I am just not sure if I really need 200w/channel. Would the new 7100 be enough?

What is the difference between going with m200 mono blocks vs. 755 /770/7100?
Yes there is size/wattage but is there an advantage to going with the m200 vs any of the other ones.

I have all Acoustic Research Hi Res speakers that have a rating of 91db- 93db. Do I need 200 w/channel on these or will 100 do?
The only other amps I have interest in are the Parasound but I am interested in getting some type of outlaw amp and then maybe
getting the 950.
Any thoughts would be great

The difference between 100 and 200 watts is not all that great in acoustic output terms: 3db. There would be no reason not to get the higher power amp. If your speakers were a bit more efficient, I'd say go with the lower power amp however.

Actually, I re-read your original post - I didn't see that you were considering the 7100. I would think that either would work fine for you. Like I said, the difference between even 100 and 200 watts is not very great where the rubber meets the road....

So than what about M200 vs the other 3 outlaw amps...are the monoblocks better?

The M200s are, well, monoblocks. I think you would be just as well off with the multi channel units, but if you like the concept of monoblocks, then the 200's for you.

Do you think that there would be sound improvement or not. I have read many articles with like say denon 3802 and addition of an outlaw amp and they noticed sound improvements.
Do you think it would be too much power for the rear speakers.
Would it be better to start with the front three?

Separates will generally sound better. 200wpc will be enough to drive anything out there. 100wpc is enough, too. I don't feel I'm missing anything with the 65wpc my 1050 puts out. You could get by with 9wpc SET amps for that matter, as long as your sub is powered separately.

As long as it is clean power, your rears will be fine.
