This is outside an OUTLAW topic, but Ive had (3) dvd players in the last month. All three pause for a second throughout the movie. Somtimes it digitizes too. Ive cleaned the dics and thier not rentals. Ive had Toshiba, Sony, and Panosonic. Thier not high end players. All in the $250 dollar range. Is this a common problem with lower end players?? Thanks for any info.

All throughout out the movie not just at the layer change? I have 2 Toshibas a 4700 and a old sd2008u and don't have any pausing except at layer changes. The only way to get rid of that is to use a player that uses a computer style dvd transport with a buffer. Or build a HTPC.
