I can't get the rear channel to work. Got any ideas?

Does it not work in *any* mode? Not on DD or DTS DVD's, 5.1 analog inputs, PLII processing, NEO:6 processing, ...? Test tones? Assuming all of the pre-amp and speaker connections are good and none of the cables are damaged (I'd swap a few things around -- hook the surrounds up the left & right channels, for example, to make sure it's not a couple bad wires or loose connections). If the connections are good and this is still happening in all modes (or if it is in one particular mode, such as 5.1 analog only), I'd give Scott or Mike a call and see about a replacement unit...

I get test tones and full sound in 5 and 7 channel stereo. I am using a optical cable as well as analog from the Panny RP62 DVD player. I am still working on setting this up, just got it the other day. Another problem I am having is the remote control won't save any macros. I followed the instructions in the manual, but no luck. I have been able to add the DVD, VCR, TV, to the proper buttons. The Outlaw remote found the right codes. So I am having these little teething problems. The rear channel stuff was getting to me though. I replaced the Mitshibushi HTS 100 with the Outlaw 950 just for DTS and all of that. The Mits would only do DPL.

Yeah, I only had DPL before. Didn't know the diference between L & R back surround and L & R Surround. Using 5.1 and had the rears plugged into back surround. What will 9.1 be called "Way Back Surround?" Moot point now that my rear amp is on the fritz.
