I don't have an SACD player yet as I'm waiting for a combi-player with HDMI or Firewire connectivity (but that's another issue), but can't you listen to ALL SACD's in stereo mode on either a DVD player or CD player?

I just wanted to make sure before I ordered some. BTW, I read an excellent write-up on an upcoming SACD of Alison Kraus that was recorded live. Not out till November, but I'd like to get it.

Certain sony SACDs have a two channel soundtrack of the album included but not all of them. These disks with this capability are known as hybrid disks. That may help when ordering.

Thanks Jeffrey, is there a way of knowing that? If you look on Amazon or similar, will it note hybrid disc anywhere?
