ordered my Outlaw 1050 6.1 today! I am so stoked. I just had to share my good news. I hope it sounds as good as my Yamaha RX-V990 ($1000) and Technics SH-AC500D ($300). If it does I will be so impressed, a $500 receiver sounding better then $1300 in components! I just needed more A/V digital source inputs. I could only have one video input with Digital sound with the Yamaha setup. So you do you think the Outlaw will sound as good ore better?

I had a Yamaha RX-V690 before getting my 1050, and the 1050 was a great improvement.

Welcome to the club! I've not heard the RX-V990, but a good friend moved from a Yamaha R(somthing)750 (I think it was) ... He's very pleased with the improvement!

Might I suggest the AMC CD8b as your player. $200 buys the best deal going now for a very fine player. I tried both out with my Outlaw and the AMC sounded better than the 521. Check out reviews on audioreview.com
