990 or newer OSD suggestion

With the poliferation of small touch screen TFT LCD's, I think it would be neat to provide a computer interface (USB ??/) that would allow total
remote control functionality. Just imagine, HT color touch control with input changes, sound surround adjustments, channel changes, SW updates etc all available..say from a simple USB connection..hmmm, like the one in back. An alternative to on screen OSD...

Your post made the flash back immediately to this post . The feasibility exists now with the 990 (although not the 970/1070 as far as I've seen), although it will likely take some work to get implemented.
