I recently got an amp serviced and it came back without its detatchable powercord. I am using a pc cord I had around but am wondering if it is as good as what comes with audio equipment.

What should I do?

Just use the PC power cord (retail ~ $7).

Buy a hospital grade powercord at about $20.

Order 10 guage 3way power cable (99.6 % Cu but no proprietary winding), Wattgate IEC, and Marinco 3 prong connector from Parts express and make 4 6' power cords for $30 each.

Buy Audiophile cable for anywhere between $60 to $700 each.

I'd probably stick with the PC power cord, although I might also ask the service center why my amp's cord disappeared.
