Can anyone tell me if the PR-SC866 allows for "running" information over the HDMI? I am referring to information such as volume, codec etc. This feature is present on the Denon 3808. This would be similar to the 970/990 overlay utilizing the component outputs. In advance to any information, thank you.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "running" information. Are you looking for an on-screen overlay of something like the volume setting when making a volume change, or a display of the input when making an input change? If so, Onkyo calls that "immediate display" and does support it on the 885 (although I have it disabled since I've never been really fond of the feature). The 886 would also have this feature - I checked Outlaw\'s guide , and it is described on page 24. Is that what you were looking for?

Yes. This is exactly what I was referring to. I know many modern recievers have this feature ( for some I guess!) but many cannot overlay utilizing the HDMI outputs. I find the larger on screen information easier to read. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
