I'm planning to haul my old 27" CRT TV to the home theater room, so that my wife and I don't have to fire up the front projector just to watch the news, Weather Channel, exercise videos, etc. Will it be okay if I send the component video outs to the projector and the S-video out to the CRT? In other words, does using one disable the other?

TIA, Bruce

That should work fine - you'll just need to run s-video from the sources you intend to watch on the 27" CRT so the s-video output has a signal to work with.

Yup - just the 'old' DVD player, which will be used for parking such things as the exercise video, that aren't worth wearing out the fancy Oppo for! I'll be hooking up the VCR, too, just in case we still want to pull out selections from the old tape collection, although I haven't dared to see how difficult they'll be to watch, now that we're all 'up-scaled'! ;-)
