So, if I order a new 1070 today, will it function correctly when I receive it? confused

The SQ of the 1070 is outstanding for its price but you have to deal with the no audio bug even with the latest firmware.

Read through the forum to understand the problem before you buy one.

I can pretty much guarantee that if you get one, the sound quality will be such an upgrade that any slight bugs that exist will become tolerable, as thats what it seems has been the case for all of us on the board.

For me, the no-audio bug is very rare though.

I could only subscribe to this full-hartedly.
My case was a bit special, I ran into the bug pretty frequently, mostly because I failed the upgrade and my unit seems to have slipped into a weird state.
I'll get a replacement unit, to have the bug fixed, but not even for a moment have I been let down by the sound quality.
I even had the chance to open the unit to replace a memory chip. The built quality is superb, the power supply (what matters most in any amplifier) is impressive. So are the heat sinks as everything else. This amp is a power house current wise, and this is way more important than the Watts written in the specs. 65W high current is far superior to 100W but without the high current capability.
At this price point, bug or no bug, there is nothing even coming close in sound quality, build quality and features array as the 1070 from Outlaw. It's all worth it.
And this is the point of view of a customer who had a rough start with Outlaw Audio given an unlucky chain of events...
