I am getting ready to purchase a 1070, my wife wanted me to buy a denon with an ipod dock included from crutchfield. Is there a way to connect an ipod to the 1070 so I can make her happy? Any info would be appreciated.

You can get iPod docks from a number of sources (including Apple). An Apple iPod Universal Dock ($40 - this link may work ) and an Apple Remote ($30 - this link may work ) would let you connect the dock to the 1070 and to control the iPod from the couch.

Here are a few other similar devices:

MarWare dock with remote ($50, supports Video iPod)
iPod dock and remote ($20, no video support)
Logic3 iPod dock and remote ($60, supports Video iPod)

Tell her it can only be connected to the 990.
