I am have a 5.1 speaker setup at home. I was wondering if I can take run my tweeters and mid separtley on my mains. Is anyone doing this with their main speakers in a 5.1 setup.

Are you talking about bi-amping using the 1070's sixth and seventh amp channels to supplement the left and right? If so, I'm afraid the answer is no - the 1070's seven amp channels are not addressable.
