Checking Firmware Update Release

How can you determine what Firmware Release your 1070 is currently running as I would like to confirm the update took or not.

Is there going to be a newer update than the 2.17.06? Thought someone said a newer one was on the way…. How soon?

I was told by Support, that holding the Menu and Mute buttons down would display the current firmware release on the OSD (TV). DO NOT type 1 to reset anything.

When I press down the Menu and Mute buttons, my 1070 shows "mcp-ot10700512230401" on the OSD.

Is this the latest rev? What does yours show after the update?

I don't have a 970 or a 1070, but the support page lists the latest firmware (released 2/17) as being version mcp-ot10700602091312 for the 1070 and mcp-ot9700602091312 for the 970. I suspect 23V's running the firmware patch released right before christmas that fixed the white flash video switching issue.

gonk, thanks, not sure how I missed the list of current firmware versions on the support page.

If I'm deciphering the firmware name correctly, it does look like I'm running the Dec. 23, 2005, firmware, not the latest. Time for an update.
