1070 or go with seperates? - 01/21/06 10:36 PM

Hi all. I am brand new here. I am currently comparing the 1070 to the 970/7075. I am going to be running Definitive Tech Mythos Fives(4 of them) with a Mythos Seven center and a supercube. I listen to a fair amount of music, but I am much more focused on movies. Just looking for some opinions here. I just read the review on the preamp with the new 7075 where it performed comparably with a Denon 4800 series. That is a pretty serious reciever. Is the 75 watts per going to be enough? I have never owned seperates before. Any and all help will be very appreciated.

The 1070 is a great sounding piece. The Mythos are efficient speakers. I have Def Techs also and I can never turn it all the way up unless we're really throwing down. On the other side, if you have the cash I'd go separates. There's many considerations here that have been discussed in this forum, specifically under the 1070.

Pilotguy,
If the ability is there to go seperate .... go!
a thought ... if you go seperate - grab some PCA cables from Outlaw or blue jeans of other brands mentioned in the forums or over at Audioholics. Basicaly don't cheat your self.
one more thought.... besides good gear at a sweet price here at Outlaw .... there is something very cool about sportin' seperates in the middle of your rig.

good luck and welcome to Outlaw crew
