Annoying Quirk? HELP!

Annoying Quirk? HELP! - 11/03/05 11:50 PM

I have my Sony DVD player connected with Monster composite video cables and a Monster Coaxial Audio cable to the 1070 with On-screen programming ON.

When playing a DVD, as menus load and/or change to play the movie, the 1070 seems to detect adjustments to the audio signal triggering the on-screen to display and cuasing a short 3-4 second mute of the audio signal - often muting the first several seconds of listening to a DVD.

Anyone have some work around, fixes or suggestions?

I've heard some references from Scott to the auto-poll setting for the input, which apparently is set to "on" by default but may need to be set to "off". If the Sony is completely stopping the digital output, auto poll would try to switch to analog, and the 1070 would end up hunting for a bit. I think this option is under "INPUT SETTINGS" and "DVD INPUT".
