Remote Backlight

Just got my 1070 delivered and hooked up and while playing with the remote and getting everything configured I think I may have noticed a slight problem: the remote's backlight doesn't seem to work. I double-checked the manual to be certain of how it operates, but from what I can tell it should come on for a few seconds whenever I push a button. Instead whenever I push a button nothing happens. Oh, the remote still functions properly, but no light. I've tried holding the buttons, pushing different buttons, taking it into a really dark room and checking, but nothing.

Am I missing something critical about the operation or is it time to talk to the Outlaws about getting a replacement?

Should be lighting up whenever you hit a button.
