I just got my invitation email for the Model 1070. I placed my reservation at 9:17 on 7/31. I'm placing an order tonight for it and the LFM-2...can't wait

Here's what the late July newsletter had to say about the 1070 reservation process:

Based on all of that, I would expect that Stewie's 1070 (along with the rest of the first batch of reservations) will ship by next Friday.

I'm placing my order soon too. I'm kind of curious who the beta testers were.

I just got my invite to order. Signed up on the reservation list at about 9:30 PDT on 8/1 (day 2).

Got my invite today too!

I placed my order this afternoon. The main selling point for me is the 80Hz fixed analog crossover on the 7.1 multichannel analog inputs.

For others who have ordered or are thinking about it, what 1070 feature is most appealing to you?

Just to let everyone know, mine arrived at the address its being shipped to (parents' house), but unfortunately I won't be able to get it into my setup for probably a week or so.

Just to let everyone have an idea of where they're at, I reserved 15 minutes after the list started up, and ordered on either Saturday or Sunday night (i'm not sure which off the top of my head.)

So considering I didn't get my reservation in until August 7th I can probably expect my order offer to come in some time in November...

I understand that the stock is limited and we don't have a lot of information on things, but the supply certainly seems to be very, very small. That or the number of order requests is unimaginably huge.

I don't know, Belgand, Outlaw seems to be moving through the 1070 reservation list faster than they did with the 990. Lawtalker joined the list late on the second day and has already gotten an invitation to order - by comparison, it took almost a month from the start of shipping to get just two days into the reservation list for the 990. Since the 990 reservation list cleared out in a couple of months and you joined the list a week after it was opened, I'd tend to suspect that you might be able to place your order somewhere in September - possibly in the next week or so.

I'd agree. Keep in mind that a lot of people have been waiting for the 1070 for quite a while. I'd expect that a sizeable percentage of the people on the waitlist signed up in the first few hours. I was quite sad when I realized that it had slipped my mind to sign up on 7/31 for just that reason.

And was quite pleasantly surprised to get my invite so soon.

Did you get any shipping notice or anything? I reserved mine within 1 minute of being able to, and order it on 8/25 in the morning and haven't heard anything yet from them.

Actually, the package was delivered before I got a shipping notification.

I, of course, spoke far too soon and now end up looking (even more of) an idiot. Got my invitation today (the e-mail having actually been sent before I even posted, but waiting at home) and placed my order.

So for those keeping track I joined the list at 8/7/05 at 6:20pm. I suspect that the vast majority of orders were placed in the first day or so and the rest of us stragglers are making up a pretty small percentage.

Ah well... you get a bit antsy when you're waiting for something you want. Considering the length of time we've been waiting (at least since last Fall, but really I've been waiting for a new model since I failed to pick up a 1050 before they discontinued them) this is nothing. I'd rather wait for the quality of product I'm sure we're all certain we'll be getting than have some rush job that wouldn't live up to the Outlaw name.
