Headphone connection question... - 02/28/06 12:14 PM

My Sennheiser 650's don't get enuff volume when running via the 990 headphone jack. So, I thought to try the rec out connected to my Creek phone amp. That works fine, except then (horrors!) I have to use the manual knob on the Creek, rather than sit and use the remote.

Anybody see a way to use the phone amp and have the remote control volume? Or am I doomed to walk a whole 10 feet every time...

Thx!!!

I seem to recall you saying something about having zone 2 in use for something else. Does your Creek have a signal pass-through option? (I remember seeing some headphone amps that allowed this back when I was considering getting one a couple years ago.) If so, you could use the zone 2 output (and its remote volume control) to feed the Creek and still route the audio from the Creek on to whatever other device is using the zone 2 signal.

Actually not using the zone 2 right now, so that sounds good. Guessing this is the best compromise for me. And I can just turn the main amp off, feed the zone2, and it's groovy. Then the 990 will give video via component in the main zone, and all is happy. Think so...

Thanx!
