950 Remote & Macros

Can any one use the macro buttons with any mode other than AUD? On page 39 of my manual it says that the macro buttons are programmed in AUD mode but can be "accessed in other modes" but it doesn't say how to access the macros in other modes. I can not get the macros to work in any mode except AUD. Is something wrong with my remote?

The macro buttons can each store two macros -- one accessed from all modes on the top row of device buttons (AUD, CD, DVD, TAPE) and one accessed from all modes on the second row of device buttons (SAT, TV, VCR, CBL). If you have a macro that works while you're in AUD mode, it should also work in CD, DVD, and TAPE.

Another thought -- if you're looking to get more familiar with your 950 remote, the manual for the SL-9000 might be handy. There are a few differences (like the absence of the LCD), but otherwise it's a great reference
