I am trying to use the 950 remote to control my Toshiba SD-6200 DVD/CD. I have set up the source DVD to default to PLII-C and the source CD to default to PLII-M. Both share Optical1 connection. Using the codes in the manual for DVD, I selected 008 to control the Toshiba DVD, but this code doesn't work for the CD. The remote does not work when I select CD as the source. So, here's the question: Can I keep my default surround setting for DVD and CD, and still use the remote to control the SD-6200 in both DVD and CD modes?

I've got a suggestion -- it's what I'm doing with my DVD player. I want to be able to switch to stereo rarely for playback of some CD-R's that my CD changer dislikes, so I set the AUX1 input to use the same digital input as my DVD player. I have a macro set up to change the input from DVD to AUX1 while in the DVD player mode. I explained how in this post .
