The 950 has an IR out port, which I believe just transmits anything the IR eye sees, allowing other components to interpret remote codes even though their eyes may be covered. Sony's S-link control system, as I understand it, is based on remote codes. Does anyone out there know if these two are compatable? The plugs even look the same (1/8" phono plug).

Matt, we will only know for sure when the 950 spec sheet is released (or if a beta tester is willing to put a meter to the 950, but the Sony control 's' jack is a mini stereo jack comprising a +5 volt DC source (or drain if you are the remote control!), a ground used to reference this +5 volt, and the 'infrared' (electrical version of the infrared signal)data. Hope this helps!
