I was programming a few things last night and now my remote seems to be messed up. When I select a source and hit the power button (for any source) the status LED and the cable/v3 button flash together. I can't even turn off the 950 from my remote anymore. Is there a reset?

It sounds like you've programmed a macro to the power button. Fear not - you are not the first person to do this (or the last)! Check out page 39 for directions on how to erase a macro from a macro button, and you'll have your power button back on track in no time.

There is (or was last time I checked) an error in the 950's manual on how to set up a power on / off macro. The instructions on page 39 are correct -- when inputting the macro, you use the "MUTE" button instead of the power button (because otherwise you end up programming the power button to be a macro) -- but the example on page 40 refers to pressing the power button.

Also, a handy resource for programming the 950's remote is the SL-9000 manual . The 950 remote's LED blinks in lieu of the LCD, but aside from that it's the exact same remote -- and there's a lot more info there than is included in the 950's manual.
