Received my replacement 950 yesterday. The hiss/noise is way way way reduced. So far reduced, I'm gettin nutin. Help, my new 950 won't power up. Checked the wall outlet (other equipment is workin from it), on/off switch is on in back, even tried "reset" (remove volume knob/toothpick at hole at 9:00 from manual), and nothing. Damn, wish I would of plugged in first/before unhooking/hooking everything up. Ideas anyone??

Yup... Open her up and check the fuse. Make sure it is unplugged first though. If it is due to a blown fuse, it'll probably be the one just in front of where the power plug enters the unit. I've had to replace this fuse 3 times now on my non hiss fixed unit...?
I hope it is only something simple for you too!!!

Merc, I have 5, er 3 questions:
1) Did you establish how or why you are blowing the fuse? 2) Do you find it disconcerting that you have had to change the fuse 3 times? I can't remember ever having to change a fuse in any of my AV gear. 3) Wouldn't you void the warranty by opening the box?

I've since had to change a fuse on one of my amps as well. 3)Outlaw told me to open it up and check the fuse. BTW, it hasn't happened in the past few months or so. So, has anybody besides you two experienced the fuse problem?

I just got my first 950 in yesterday, and while it does power up, it does not send any signal to my amp. And yes, I checked all the conncetions about a million time. About to place a call for when the Outlaws get in this morning. Major bummer.

Oh man. This is not good news...
Jody: try pushing the unit reset button, located UNDER the knob. Call Outlaw for more info...
I'll be getting my unit today via UPS ground shipping. (Keeping my fingers crossed for gentle UPS folks)

When I get home I'll be working through it with Scott to see if we can figure out what is wrong.
