How far is too far?

Hi everyone:

I would like to know if I can run a subwoofer cable approximately 40 ft. The manual says not to run an excessively long cable. Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you're referring to an interconnect from the LFE out, 40 feet should not be a problem as long as you keep it away from 120VAC cables. If it is a speaker wire, it should be at least 12 gauge, preferrably 10 gauge wire
