Remote control is very hackable - 06/08/01 10:40 PM
The manual that came with my 1050 was pretty light on how programable the remote really is. Here is a list of web-sites that are dedicated to programming the "Radio Shack 15-1994" remote which is usually priced at $40. The 1050 remote is clearly a descendent of the 15-1994, I have had zero problems in reprogramming specific keys for undocumented devices like my Apex CD player. I haven't hooked up the serial port that is in the battery compartment yet, but it looks like it should work.
I'd appreciate it if the outlaws could post any 'unofficial' information they have on programming the remote too.
