I am planning on building my surround sound setup around the polk audio lsi brand of speakers;
Lis7 for the fronts and surrounds and Lsic for the center channel, please feel free to leave a comment.

I heard the LSi series at the last HES in NYC. They sounded very good on some DVD and DVD-Audio material. I just got some of last years models (f/x300i) to use for my surrounds. I think Polk gets a bad rap mainly because they are sold at major chains and not Hi-Fi stores. In most of the chains, they are not set-up properly so people can't get a true picture of what the speakers sound like. Polk speakers can be a very good deal for the money.

An Outlaw 1050 or a 950/7100 with Polk speakers would probably work out very nicely.

Where are planning on purchasing the LSi'S ?

IMHO - Because of the better full range performance of the Lsi-9's, they would probably make a better front speaker than the 7's. I picked my Lsi-9's for 660.oo shipped - Lsi-C can be had for around 375.00 delivered. BTW great sounding speakers for the money.

I got the lsi7 for $445 including del and have my eyes on another pair for $10 less.
