Hey guys,
I have listened to everyone's comments about base management and the 1050. I have a DAC that I have just completed and I want to use it. Obviously I will plug it into the 1050's 5.1 inputs. But I lose base management. Someone said that if I buy the ICBM then that will give me the base management. Is this true? Can I plug the ICBM between the dvd player and the 1050 and have base managment in stereo mode? In other words can I play regular cd's in my player and still get the subwoofer to play?

Thanks for your input

Yes, you can put the ICBM between the DAC and the 1050. Connect the stereo analog output from the DAC to the left/right inputs on the ICBM, then connect the left/right and sub outputs of the ICBM to the left/right and sub inputs of the 1050's 5.1 analog in, then hook your sub up to the 1050's sub output.

i posted this in another thread, but you can also just run a cable from the L/R preouts to the subwoofer. use a splicer to run those 2 outputs to one cable, so that you don't have to lose your subLFE cable. Most subs have two inputs, so this should be easy. works fine for me.
