Newbie Connection MBlock Question - 02/28/04 08:23 PM

Hello,
I just orded 2 M-Blocks to run my fronts, and it occured to me that I don't know what type of cable to use to connect them to the pre-amp jack on the receiver. Will a heavy duty RCA cable do, or do I need a special cable. Are the cables used to connect sub woofers just heavy duty RCA cables..or...
thanks in advance

You just need analog audio cables (RCA cables), such as Outlaw's PCA cables . Subwoofers use the same sort of cable, although they obviously tend to be a bit longer.

I just received two monoblocks on Tuesday and finally today have them setup to drive my front Boston Acoustics VR-M90s. I ordered a pair of Outlaw PCA 1.8m cables with these. I'm impressed with the quality of these cables and am very happy that I purchased them.

As for the sound of the monoblocks, it seems as if my M90s are finally getting the power that they like. I was driving these with a Yamaha RX-V2200, as well and a VR-MC center and a pair of VR-MXes with a Yamaha YST-SW800 powered subwoofer, and the M90s sounded a little sluggish. The sound that the M90s produced was good, but it seems to have gotten significantly better when I put these on the two m-blocks. I think that you'll be very happy with the m-blocks.
