Def Tech BP7002 vs. Rocket 750 sig. Towers - 02/02/05 02:35 PM

Hello all, I am a proud owner of the 950/770. I'm having a problem deciding on speakers. I just purchased a pair of Def Tech BP7002's I like them alot, however I've been hearing alot of good things about the Rocketd 750 sig. towers and I'm wondering if anyone here has heard them both. The Rockets are some what cheaper then the Def Techs, even though price is not really and issue. I would like to hear what ya'll think. Decisions, Decisions! I will be using these as my mains in a soon tobe HT room. These mains will be my starting point and then I'll build the rest of my system around them. Same manufacture of course. Thank in advance for any input.

The best bet is always to demo both speakers with some material of your choosing. You've got the 7002's in hand, so you are already familiar with them. If you like the DefTech's, you certainly would be well served by a full DefTech system, and they are good speakers, but an audition of the Rockets could be informative. You might consider checking out AudioEnvy to see if a Rocket owner will let you take a listen - maybe even somebody with Outlaw gear.

QQKLTB,

If you get up to CT at all, let me know. You'd be more than welcome to stop by and listen to my RS-750's off of my 1050/M200 stereo setup.
