950 MANUAL - 11/09/04 05:05 PM

This may have been brought up in the past, but has anybody noticed the diagram showing the proper procedure on hooking up a video recording device on page 15? The composite and s-video arrows point from output of 950 to output on recorder and from input on the 950 to input on the recorder. These are incorrect, output should always flow to input and vice-versa.

I never used the manual to put my Theatre together, so I never noticed. I only used it to work the remote, learn the features and read the specs. smile

I use drawings when adding stuff or changing cables becasue my rack is so full and heavy its a real pain to pull it out. I have around 40 odd cables behind the rig.

I hadn't ever checked the wiring diagrams in the 950's manual, but you certainly are right that the composite and s-video are wrong. I do use the rear panel diagrams for most of my gear when wiring things up. It lets me work by feel since I tend to be reaching around without an angle that lets me read the labels - the new entertainment center is not nearly as easy to work behind as the old one, and I'm probably approaching 60 cables when factoring in interconnects, power cords, and speaker cables. Reminds me of RAF's comments when beta testing the Model 950 - he had something like 100 cables to deal with.
