New 950 no longer working

I received my new 950 and 755 yesterday, got everything connected and configured, then listened to selections from various CDs, and everything was working great.

I then fired up a DVD, audio and video were working correctly. I then used the DVD's remote to change some of the DVD machine's parameters, and the 950 suddenly powered down.

Now I cannot get the 950 to come to life. I've tried both the "unplug AC and wait 5 minutes" and the "reset processor" methods as documented in the manual, but to no avail. The standby LED is lit, but that's the extent of it.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I've filed a support ticket via the support site, but have not had a reply yet. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like something that Outlaw support will need to take care of you on, I'm afraid.

Just to let anyone who peruses this thread: Outlaw's support is as good as everyone has said it is. Steve and Scott both worked with me on trouble-shooting the problem, and when that failed to rectify the problem, they are now over-nighting a new 950 to me! They were both considerate and took the time to answer my call "after hours", and I appreciate their quick attention to my problem.

BassTones (like the name), We may be Outlaws, but would never mislead you about something like the service record of this Company.

I received the new 950 on Friday the 2nd, got it set up and calibrated, and everything is working great. I would once again like to thank the folks at Outlaw for their assistance and their willingness to ship out a new unit without delay. Count me as a satisfied customer.

Outlaw customer service is good but like everything else, its not perfect. This will probably not hurt their overall rating but nevertheless, it happened.

It’s been almost 2 months since I've received my 950 and 7100. There is a remote control included along with 950 however, the batteries in that package were all corroded and had white residue oozing out of them. Obviously these batteries are defective, so I emailed Outlaw customer service about it and they wrote me back saying that they will send me new batteries. Well, I still have not gotten any batteries from them. Price of those four batteries is a drop in a bucket compare to what I had to folk over for 950 and 7100 but still, it shouldn’t have happened. I like the performance of 950 and 7100 though.

It is apparent that Outlaw monitors the Saloon closely. The batteries have arrived shortly after my earlier post along with an email of apology. Apology accepted.

What we (gunslingers) say here counts which is good!
