Sometimes I notice that when I turn my 950 on and try to do the speaker calibration that one of my rear surrounds (5.1 system) do not have sound. If I try it later everything seems to be fine.

I just connected two more speakers for 7.1. The first time I tried to do the calibration I did not hear the rear left and right but heard the two new speakers left back and left right. I try again and now I can cal all speakers except left right. Sound comes out of all the other speakers and I did the speaker cal on all the 5.1 system without problems before connecting the two new 7.1 speakers.

Am I missing something?

I forgot to mention that I do have the backs configured in the 950 as being present.

Whenever I make changes like this and have problems getting test tones from a speaker, I check the wiring. It's easy to jostle a pre-amp output or a speaker wire, and end up with a channel or two that don't do anything.

Ugh... It seems to have been a loose connection.
