Morning, all. I just wanted to share my pleasant surprise with the Cirrus/PLII decoding in the 950.

I've been playing Rachet and Clank (PS2) through my 950. It spits a stereo signal out to the 950. I play it in PLII-C-CR mode, and I have a 6.1 setup, sans center channel.

As I was playing, I was noticing sound coming from all points in my room. It was as if I were listing to a DD encoded track. Some of them were eerily pinpointed. The ones behind me were especially creepy

Kudos to Outlaw for doing a good job.

I also am quite pleased with the synthetic surround processing from 2 ch sources. I wonder if that disqualifies me from the cranky old audiophile club?
