icbm and hk bass management - 02/05/05 07:31 PM

i am currently using my icbm between my yamaha 795a reciever and a pioneer 667a universal dvd player with b&w front, center and rear speakers and velodyne sub. i am planning to upgrade to a harman kardon avr435 receiver. i believe that the hk receiver has built-in bass management for all sources and with that in mind, won't there be redundancy with the icbm. thank you so much and have a nice day.

Does the AVR-435's bass management also apply to the six-channel analog input? Most receivers don't - that input generally passes through with no processing, and therefore with no bass management, which means that the ICBM is still needed.

I believe the AVR630 has six-channel analog input bass mgt but not the newer AVR635. Go figure.
